Tomasz Kuran

 

1971, Warszawa

A graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, where he defended his diploma at the Department of Conservation and Restoration of Painting and Polychromed Sculpture under the direction of Professor Joanna Szpor. Tomasz Kuran also studied painting in the studio of Professor Rajmund Ziemski. The subjects of his works are mostly abstract figures embedded in variousdynamically coloured landscapes, or motifs. His work employs more than one style, ranging from landscapes and abstractions as well as graphics and monochrome images. He has several individual exhibitions, as well as collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad, among others in the State Art Gallery in Płock, the Belfry Gallery in Warsaw or the Viennese Cultural Center.
