Photographer, publicist, critic and theorist of photography, social activist, organizer of the photographic movement of Polish landscapers, creator and animator in the Kielecka School of Landscape (a movement which prefers a wide and simple view on a landscape and an analysis of its structure). A graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology (1962), he first showed an interest in photography in the early Fifties. Since 1967 he has been a freelancer photographer. Member of ZPAF, founder and creator of Okręg Świętokrzyski ZPAF. Author of more than 250 individual exhibitions, participant in more than 600 collective Polish and international exhibitions. The laureate of numerous medals and prizes. He has produced over a dozen individual photographic albums (Structures,Between Wisła and Pilica, Staropolski Industrial District). Editor and co-author of: almanac Masters of the Polish Landscape (2000) oraz Kielce School of Landscape (2002). The author of many texts, critical studies, reviews, and texts for exhibition catalogues. 2004 saw the release of Time of Landscape, an anthology of his writings published in the years 1975-2004. For photographic works and social activities he received the Officer's Cross and the Order of Polonia Restituta, Silver Medal Gloria Artis and honorary distinctions of the International Federation of Photographic Art: AFIAP, EFIP and ESFIAP.
