A graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, diploma in the studio of prof. Wojciech Zubala. Jerzy Baranowski also studied in the studio of prof. Stanisław Baj and earlier prof. Wojciech Cieśniewski. He specializes in oil and acrylic painting. He attaches great importance to the workshop in this drawing. Jerzy Baranowski deals with both abstraction and figuration. Apart from geometric abstraction, expressed in a minimalist way - the closest thing to him is magical realism, which can be seen mosty in the artist's earlier works.
